Lisk to rebrand soon. Here’s what you need to know

Lisk’s performance since last month has been impressive. Since the beginning of the year, the cryptocurrency rose from $20 to $39, establishing a new all-time high. As with all cryptocurrencies though, this week has been less gracious to LSK. A correction and a market-wide panic caused the coin to drop below $16. IOTA proposes version of Swedish e-crown

Sweden has long planned to go cashless. Just how they plan to do it is an open question. In September 2017, Sweden’s national bank, the Riksbank, published its first e-crown report. In the statement, the bank called for proposals from companies that would like to assist in the development of a cashless Sweden. One of the proposals came from the IOTA foundation. If chosen, Sweden may be among one of the first countries to implement a national cryptocurrency. Morgan Stanley clears CME, CBOE Bitcoin futures

Morgan Stanley announced it will begin clearing Bitcoin futures. The Wall Street giant joins the ranks of the few financial institutions to do so. Goldman Sachs had been the only other Wall Street bank to clear BTC futures. TD Ameritrade, and E*Trade, are among other companies which clear CME and Cboe Bitcoin futures. First Bitcoin futures contract settles, bears win

After a harrowing week in the crypto community, CBOE closed its first Bitcoin futures contract. Chicago Board Options Exchange began selling the financial instruments on December 10th. Its first contract expired on Wednesday at $10,900. Bitcoin briefly dipped below $10,000 this week. Meanwhile, CME contracts will expire on January 26th.
