China to ban Foreign cryptocurrency trading platforms

China will ban its citizens from accessing foreign cryptocurrency trading platforms. Reports from local media indicate that Beijing will take further steps to quell cryptocurrency trading in the country. Authorities have also removed cryptocurrency advertisements from search engines and popular social media site, Weibo. China banned ICOs last year and shut down domestic cryptocurrency exchanges in January.
